Although I have been a fan of Chinese dance since I was a kid, I didn’t really have a chance to learn it until I was 17 years old. Seeing that many children nowadays are able to attend Chinese dance lessons regularly, I really admire them for being so fortunate to have such committed parents.
Like a few other students, I met Tracy 5 years ago when Vancouver Beauty Dance World was established in Richmond. Realizing that there are keen students in Coquitlam who may not be able to go to Richmond, Tracy established a new campus in Coquitlam in 2010 despite the long commute she has to make regularly.
Inspired by her determination, I treasure every lesson that I take with Tracy and I’d always try my best to act out all required moves. Although I am not talented, my passion in Chinese dance has provided me the drive to do better and brought me to where I am.
Tracy is also very patient in teaching, for both kids and adults, whether they are slow learners like me or not. Although students in our adult class have generally been learning Chinese dance for a long time, she would still design her lessons in a way to keep improving our skills and techniques. Thanks Tracy for being so patient to me and helping me realize my dream.
